I'm back. And I am so happy to be. New Emma’s Notes every Wednesday.
I know I've written Notes like this a few times already. Consistency is not my forte, but that's one for another edition.
A lot has happened since I last wrote an Emma's Notes. Not in order of importance:
I had an amazing summer that contained the exactly perfect amount of gelato, quality time with friends and family, time in my great love Barcelona, proudly vaccinated travel, museums, beach days, romance, and reading.
I sold almost everything I own and moved out of my beloved apartment in Haarlem.
I cursed and cried many tears of despair before finally getting a visa to study in the US.
After thinking I was going to move to London for 5 months, I changed plans and moved to San Francisco, and started studying at Minerva University.
I cut my hair and have bangs now. (We all know that this is the most important point)
I lost as well as gained family members.
I learned to sort of code in Python.
I let some old dreams die and gained a lot of new ones.
I made new friends and learned to navigate a life in which most of my loved ones live in different time zones.
He mejorado mi español.
And even though one could justify that list being enough change for a bit, I'll be moving to Seoul in about 80 days. I am doing good, though. I feel alive and excited to make many more dreams come true.
A wise friend described my life right now as chosen chaos and I think that's a great way to put it. In this chosen chaos, I'm excited about Emma's Notes again becoming the place for me to strengthen and share my thinking. Most of my thoughts are still about what is a good entrepreneur, person, life. However, my thinking will be colored by my new experiences obviously, and I hope you'll like that.
Feel free to reach out if there's something you'd like me to reflect on. For now, I hope you've been well.
May good things cross your path,
